Position

With over 1200 colleagues distributed across 75+ countries, we emphasize global distributed collaboration.

We are currently seeking an Engineering Manager - Python and K8s to lead a team dedicated to building a world-class DevOps culture within our corporate information systems. In this role, you will transform our internal IT team to work closely with product engineering to improve software operations and create stable, automated systems on Kubernetes.

As an Engineering Manager, you will oversee a team focused on productizing business workloads which support the availability of Ubuntu and our services globally. Your responsibilities will include setting a sound software architecture using best practices in software quality, testing, and documentation. You will leverage your technical leadership and software engineering background to influence culture positively, facilitate technical delivery, and execute strategic initiatives.

Location: Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Remote)
Work Conditions: Full-time, Remote with global travel up to 20% for internal and external events

Who You Are:

  • Experienced in Docker and Kubernetes operations.
  • Hold a software engineering background with proven Python experience.
  • Skilled in developing Python frameworks, with a strong understanding of stable, consumable APIs.
  • Passionate about adopting new technologies and improving software and infrastructure operations.
  • Committed to developing talent within your team and have a track record of doing so.
  • Familiar with Agile development environments.

Language Requirements:
Proficiency in English is expected.
