Role Summary
The Head of Engineering will oversee all technical aspects of the company. This role includes developing and implementing engineering strategies, managing the engineering team, and ensuring successful technology project delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven history of managing engineering teams and projects. A comprehensive understanding of full-stack development and AI system design and architecture is essential.
Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Management:
- Lead and mentor the engineering team, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with the company's goals.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of engineering staff.
- Adapt to changing priorities with a pragmatic approach balanced with best practices.

Technical Oversight:
- Provide technical guidance across all engineering projects.
- Ensure engineering practices meet quality and efficiency standards.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and integrate relevant advancements into the company’s roadmap.
- Ensure multi-tenancy and high availability of infrastructure.

Project Management:
- Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful outcomes.
- Maintain complete technical documentation, including details of technical debt and future resolution strategies.

Innovation and Development:
- Drive innovation within the engineering team and encourage new solution development.
- Identify opportunities for technological advancements to enhance services and offerings.
- Lead the development and implementation of new engineering tools and systems.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years in engineering roles, with at least 5 years in leadership positions.
- Proven experience in managing engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.

Technical Skills:
- Expertise in software development, system architecture, and engineering best practices.
- Extensive knowledge in full-stack development (e.g., NextJS, React 17+), AI system design, backend infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, and data processing.
- Familiarity with messaging platforms, APIs, vector databases, and cloud security.

Leadership Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities, strategic mindset, and outstanding communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Industry Knowledge:
- Experience in public relations, media, or digital marketing is highly desirable.
- Understanding of the unique challenges within the PR sector.
