ByteDance is looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join our team in Dubai. As a key member of our engineering team, you will provide backend service expertise in developing new features while working closely with design, product, and other cross-functional teams. This role is critical in contributing to system design, code quality improvement, and enhancing product quality through bug fixes, performance analysis, and tuning. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams across Asia, driving innovation in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Develop new features by providing backend service expertise.
- Contribute to overall system design and improve code quality.
- Enhance product quality through bug fixes, performance analysis, and tuning.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product and engineering teams across Asia.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of backend software development experience.
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language, such as Golang, Java, or Python.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for working in fast-paced environments.
- Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge in messaging middleware, relational databases, and common backend architecture.
- Passion for building large-scale products with exceptional performance and stability.
- Curiosity and a willingness to explore beyond comfort zones.
