Position

About the Job: The Senior Technology Engineer role is part of the Group IT with a matrix management structure. This position involves line management and reporting to the VP Technology Chapter while being assigned to an Agile squad for task management and prioritization. The engineer will manage deliverables for the squad, focusing on building and executing application pipelines, thus driving the engineering function within Emirates NBD Group for the respective technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and onboard customers and applications to the Platform using self-service and automation.
  • Automate deployment and configuration management tasks for consistent and scalable environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues in collaboration with development and operations teams.
  • Implement and manage cross-platform enterprise applications, including IIS, Windows Server, and various databases (MS SQL, Oracle, MongoDB).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and manage different environments using Terraform, Ansible, and other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Key Requirements:

  • 7+ years of total engineering or operational experience.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in managing enterprise applications and infrastructure in large, complex global enterprises.
  • Strong communication and articulation skills.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, Python, and Java.
  • Knowledge of cloud services, preferably AWS, and experience with ATM applications and vendor systems (e.g., NCR/GRG/Diebold).
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting, Kubernetes, microservices architecture, and virtualization tools (VMware or Hyper-V).

Language Requirements: Proficient communication skills in English are expected.

Value Added Skills:

  • Experience with AI/machine learning integration into enterprise systems.
  • Strong documentation skills and experience in financial/ATM system environments.
