About the Job
The Workplace Design team is a vital part of the ByteDance Real Estate COE team in Dubai, responsible for establishing a series of Workplace Design Standards integrated into ByteDance’s corporate culture and brand identity while considering the uniqueness of each region. This role emphasizes interior design and involves supporting the interpretation of design standards for all ByteDance office projects globally.
Responsibilities
- Deliver strategic workplace design guidelines to meet ByteDance’s goals and objectives regarding innovative workplace solutions.
- Establish effective communication and feedback mechanisms while supporting the implementation and pilot projects of global design standardization.
- Ensure alignment across cross-functional and regional teams on design guidelines and strategies.
- Conduct studies and research on new technology with partner teams to provide creative design solutions.
- Manage design standardization work, including workplace programming, planning principles, environmental design, and more.
- Support regional pilot project design management to ensure quality control of design implementation and cost indicators during contract bidding and construction stages.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of a degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related discipline, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
- 5 years of experience in office or commercial interior design, preferably with tech companies or in workplace consulting. Experience with first-tier design firms or corporate real estate is an advantage.
- Understanding of workplace strategies, trends, solutions, and interior design knowledge, with additional experience in design standardization preferred.
- Ability to identify problems, formulate cultural and user insights, and develop strategic solutions.
- Highly organized, self-driven, and capable of executing multiple projects under tight timelines.
- Proficiency in ACAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, 3D visualization, and a working knowledge of color and design principles.
- Willingness to travel across different regions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in various regions and familiarity with building regulatory knowledge.
- Proficient in project management processes, project budgeting, and cost control.
