This role sits within our Shopping Tribe (food vertical in the app), specifically in the Finding & Discovery domain. You'll work closely with domain leads in product and engineering on strategic topics and support multiple cross-functional squads in shaping the future of discovery.

Responsibilities:
- Develop deep domain knowledge of your squad's product area and collaborate with your manager to solve challenging problems.
- Understand the problem space through generative research, synthesizing insights, and running ideation sessions to design a delightful customer experience.
- Work with the Product Manager to define focus areas and contribute to the overall direction while measuring ongoing improvement.
- Gather continuous user feedback throughout the problem-solving process.
- Create simple, elegant solutions to complex interaction problems with high attention to detail.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops focused on achieving desired outcomes, such as generating ideas, soliciting feedback, or building consensus.
- Utilize and enhance our design system to create flows, prototypes, sketches, and high-fidelity visuals for your features.
- Think in terms of scalable systems rather than one-off solutions, using various metrics to evaluate and improve the user experience continuously.
- Drive cooperation within the design chapter and foster collaboration with other departments.
- Present your work regularly to peers, stakeholders, and leaders for review and feedback.
- Contribute to a creative, supportive culture and mentor junior team members.
Qualifications:
- Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts/Design/Marketing/Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or Multimedia graphics.
- Minimum 5-6 years of full-time UX & UI design experience in agile, consumer-focused, high-performance organizations.
- Effective problem solver with advanced knowledge of frameworks (e.g., double diamond, design thinking) and experience in partnering with Product Managers to develop strategies for features.
- Minimum 2-3 years of user interaction experience and organizing workshops/sessions with stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of design and prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Invision, Zeplin).
- An outstanding portfolio showcasing your thought process and an advanced understanding of user experience.
- Proven track record of delivering top-notch designs and an understanding of necessary details at each stage of the release cycle.
- Knowledge of validating hypotheses through qualitative and quantitative data.
- A deep thinker and natural communicator who articulates design decisions and tells compelling stories that inspire action.
- Ability to manage multiple work streams in an agile, fast-paced environment.
- Humble, curious, and open-minded with a growth mindset who thrives on continuous feedback and learning.
