Position

Canonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems, particularly known for Ubuntu. This role is part of the Alliances team, where you will help major partners such as Intel, Nvidia, Google, and Dell to understand and adopt Canonical's open source platform. The team focuses on enabling enterprise adoption of technologies, including Ubuntu, OpenStack, Kubernetes, and AI/MLOps. You will engage with global partners to architect cloud infrastructure solutions, support various alliance efforts, and help define joint go-to-market programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and work with Ubuntu, Linux, networking, and services in various environments.
  • Architect cloud infrastructure solutions, utilizing technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenStack, and Ceph.
  • Integrate popular open source software solutions (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Design and publish joint Reference Architectures with partners.
  • Conduct onboarding sessions and workshops to promote Canonical's solutions.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Extensive experience with Linux (preferably Ubuntu), Kubernetes, Ceph, and software automation.
  • Proficiency in designing solutions on public/private clouds.
  • Basic understanding of Python and Bash.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel globally up to 30% of the time.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.
