We are seeking a Cloud Support Associate Engineer to join our team and assist customers with their technical needs related to Ubuntu and other open source products. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who is eager to learn and has a passion for Linux and cloud technologies. You will address and resolve technical issues, manage support cases, and deliver an outstanding technical support experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for employees from your remote home office.
- Own and manage new support cases via telephone, email, and web.
- Advocate for internal customers and maintain timely communication.
- Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and maximize customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to the knowledge base and maintain documentation.
- Participate in a regular weekend working rotation.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field (Computer Science, MIS, Electrical Engineering, etc.).
- Experience with Linux troubleshooting and server administration.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization/cloud technologies, storage, and networking.
- Programming fundamentals in any language (e.g., bash, Perl, Ruby, JavaScript, C/C++, Go).
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience supporting virtualized environments (KVM, Virtual Box, VMWare).
- Active contribution to open source projects or forums.
