This role is for a motivated engineering manager with a passion for open-source software, Linux, and web services. Launchpad is a robust platform for managing open-source development projects, providing essential development infrastructure for major projects such as Ubuntu.
As an Engineering Manager, your primary responsibility is to support your team, ensuring they grow as engineers, perform valuable work, and enjoy their time at Canonical. You will provide technical leadership and leverage your software development background to challenge and develop your team members. Additionally, you have the opportunity to influence company culture, facilitate technical delivery, and work on strategic execution.

- Familiar with designing and evolving complex distributed systems.
- Possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid experience working in an agile development environment.
