We are currently seeking an Engineering Manager - Python and K8s, who is passionate about fostering a world-class DevOps culture within corporate information systems. The successful candidate will be instrumental in transforming our internal IS team into a product engineering extension. This role involves leading a team that will work with open-source workloads and productize them for real-time operations on Kubernetes.
As an Engineering Manager, you will guide a local team focused on ensuring the high availability of Ubuntu and our services globally. Responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team focused on productizing business workloads.
- Building and managing a regional team of engineers.
- Coaching, mentoring, and providing constructive feedback to team members.
- Contributing to the team’s technical goals and maintaining sound engineering practices.
- Setting reasonable schedules and managing expectations with stakeholders.
- Advancing agile software development practices and maintaining a culture of engineering excellence.
Who You Are:
- Experienced in Docker and Kubernetes operations.
- Background in software engineering, with proven expertise in Python.
- Skilled in developing Python frameworks and understanding the significance of stable APIs.
- Enthusiastic about new technologies and improving software and infrastructure operations.

- Knowledgeable about software development with experience in agile environments.
