We are seeking an IoT Solutions Architecture Manager to lead a focused team of Field Engineers engaged in presales and professional services. This role involves managing solution architecture, design, and delivery for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of Field Engineers in presales and professional services.
- Solve customer problems by promoting Canonical's technologies and act as a trusted advisor.
- Work remotely within a specific major time zone to manage team activities.
- Coach and mentor team members while providing career development feedback.
- Identify and measure team health indicators to ensure effective team performance.
- Represent the team and products to stakeholders, partners, and customers.
- Collaborate with other leaders as an integral part of the leadership team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Extensive experience with embedded Linux, particularly Yocto or similar.
- Proficiency in Linux environments, with a preference for Debian or Ubuntu.
- Fluency in at least one programming language such as Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
- Capability to manage a small team and engage with customers successfully.
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
Desirable Qualities:
- Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
- Knowledge of additional languages (both programming and human).
- Previous experience working in a remote-first, diverse, distributed company.
