We are hiring a Junior Cloud Field Engineer to assist global companies in adopting the latest private cloud infrastructure, Linux, and cloud-native operations. The Junior Cloud Field Engineer will engage with customers to address real-world challenges, leveraging technologies such as Linux Ubuntu, OpenStack, and Kubernetes. This role includes diverse responsibilities, including acting as a cloud consultant, deploying and testing solutions, and developing Kubernetes operators through Python.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work across the entire Linux stack, including kernel, networking, storage, and applications.
  • Design and deliver open source code using Python.
  • Architect cloud infrastructure solutions with OpenStack, Kubernetes, Ceph, Hadoop, and Spark, either on-premises or in public clouds (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Coach colleagues and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture.
  • Participate in global travel for internal and external events.

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in Computer Science or related software engineering expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts and technologies, such as Kubernetes, OpenStack, AWS, GCP, Azure, and Ceph.
  • Practical knowledge of Linux and networking.
  • Intermediate to advanced Python programming skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; knowledge of a second language is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and reliability in following through on commitments.
