Junior UX Designers at Canonical are expected to contribute to delivering outstanding user experiences. The design team aims to transform complex, open-source software into efficient and intuitive products that significantly impact enterprise IT. In this role, you will engage with the open-source community and Canonical customers, research new features, collaborate with product managers and engineers, and align efforts with product strategy and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and propose new features and improvements
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers
- Support Canonical design's horizontal efforts
- Evolve and evangelize design systems for consistency and efficiency
Qualifications:
- Exceptional academic track record from high school and university
- Bachelor's degree in User Experience, Design, STEM, or an equivalent field
- Knowledge and passion for user experience, technology, and design
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement
- Confidence in user research practices
- Engagement with the latest design research and innovation
Work Conditions:
- Remote, full-time position
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events lasting up to two weeks
