The role of a Junior UX Designer at Canonical is essential for the success of Ubuntu and its community. The design team operates in a multi-disciplinary environment, collaborating with visual designers, UX designers, front-end and back-end engineers to develop exciting web projects.
As a Junior UX Designer, you will be responsible for creating clear and stylish presentations that enhance the user experience of our products. Your designs will focus on meaningful content and information, leveraging your knowledge of typography, color, layout, usability, accessibility, and web standards. Ideal candidates will possess agency, company, or freelance design experience.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with user research practices and communicate design concepts effectively during cross-functional meetings.
- Collaborate with team members to continuously improve work processes.
- Approach design challenges with confidence, connecting your leadership to the strategic vision of the company.
Requirements:
- Excellent academic results at school and university.
- Bachelor's or equivalent in User Experience, Design, or STEM.
- Knowledge and passion for user experience, technology, and design.
- Commitment to continuous learning and a curious, flexible mindset.
- Engagement with the latest design research and innovations.
