Position

This is an opportunity to kickstart your career by joining Canonical. As a Linux Desktop Support Associate, you will be working in our Canonical London Office, delivering technical support to our employees and customers, and facilitating AV support for office conferences and events. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Investigating customer-reported issues and escalating problems as necessary.
  • Resolving complex issues related to Canonical’s products while ensuring the highest customer satisfaction in line with our Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Engaging directly with customers via phone, ticketing systems, and remote sessions.
  • Contributing to the knowledge base by creating and maintaining articles to share knowledge and lessons learned.

The role also involves providing technical onboarding support for new employees and maintaining the technical infrastructure in the office.

Requirements:

  • Professional written and spoken English, along with excellent presentation skills.
  • Exceptional academic record, preferably with an undergraduate degree in a technical subject.
  • Experience in customer support, specifically in understanding customer needs and delivering results.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with Linux, including integration with other environments and the ability to handle stack traces and logs.
  • Programming fundamentals in any language.
  • Ability to learn quickly and handle the demands of a customer-facing role.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with the technical infrastructure supporting office operations and events.
  • Exceptional communication skills to manage customer expectations effectively.

Language Requirements:

  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English is essential.
