We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer on the Web Engineering team to foster best practices across the team, facilitating technical discussions and driving initiatives to enhance team performance. The role involves identifying risks and communicating effectively with relevant stakeholders, gaining deep technical knowledge in innovative areas of technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify critical team initiatives and drive improvements.
- Design and implement well-tested and documented software.
- Debug and resolve user issues.
- Lead engineering processes through code and architectural reviews.
- Contribute to technical documentation and seek improvements to engineering practices.
- Deploy and operate services developed by the team.
- Advocate for the success of your product through technical expertise.
What We Are Looking For:
- Strong emphasis on technical quality standards and architectural design to meet business objectives.
- Passionate, self-motivated, and enterprising individuals with excellent organizational skills.
- An exceptional academic track record (undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field preferred).
- Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred) and proficiency in written and spoken English is essential.
- Willingness to travel twice a year for company events (up to two weeks each).
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with container technologies such as LXD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with REST API design and governance.
- Performance engineering and security experience.
