Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance infrastructure as code practices within IS by increasing automation and improving processes.
  • Automate software operations for re-usability and consistency across clouds.
  • Develop new features and improve the resilience and scalability of existing cloud and container portfolios.
  • Maintain operational responsibility for all of Canonical's core services, networks, and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design service architecture and operational procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Deep experience in defining operations in code, using version control, peer review, and CI/CD methodologies.
  • Strong engineering background with experience in Python software development.
  • Practical knowledge of Linux networking, routing, and firewalls.
  • Experience administering enterprise Linux servers and familiarity with cloud computing concepts.
  • Bachelor's degree or greater in computer science or a related engineering field.
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills.

Work Conditions:

  • Fully remote working environment.
  • Personal learning and development budget of $2,000 per annum.
  • Annual compensation review, recognition rewards, and annual holiday leave.
