We are seeking a passionate Software Engineer to join our OpenStack Engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work on Charmed OpenStack and Ceph, developing a suite of Python-based charms for deploying and managing these technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for open source software, Linux, and cloud platform technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate proactively with a distributed team.
  • Write high-quality code to create new features and debug issues.
  • Review code produced by fellow engineers.
  • Ensure the success of OpenStack and Ceph across multiple architectures.
  • Work from home while engaging in international travel 2 to 4 weeks per year for internal and external events.

Who You Are:

  • You are passionate about technology and enjoy working with talented individuals.
  • You possess curiosity, flexibility, and accountability in your approach.
  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field.
  • You have experience with Python and are interested in technologies such as Ubuntu Linux, Kubernetes, OpenStack, Ceph, and related cloud technologies.

Work Conditions:

  • This is a remote, full-time position with the expectation of international travel several times a year.
