We offer a pioneer work culture with minimal office-based roles, where teams convene two to four times a year in various locations to align on strategy and execution.

We are seeking engineering managers with experience in high-quality microservice architectures and team leadership, preferentially those knowledgeable in Linux kernel, virtualisation, storage, and networking. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, fostering their professional growth and guiding them in executing outstanding work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a remote engineering team.
  • Mentor team members through coaching and feedback.
  • Manage expectations with engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Advocate modern software development practices.
  • Engage with the open source community and partners.
  • Participate in code and architectural reviews.
  • Work remotely with global travel for 4 to 6 weeks per year for meetings and events.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of modern Linux cloud computing technologies, including networking, storage, containers, and Kubernetes (K8s).
  • Proven experience in developing and growing team members.
  • A focus on timely and high-quality software delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
  • Experience in programming languages such as C and/or Go.

Work Conditions:

  • This is a full-time remote position available for candidates in EMEA and the Americas.
