  • Participate in upstream communities, develop bug fixes, backport patches, and collaborate with upstream for inclusion.
  • Review code written by other engineers and exercise good judgment in technical methods.
  • Effectively prioritize tasks and manage time.
  • Engage in team discussions aimed at improving processes, tools, and documentation.
  • Maintain clear and concise technical communications.
  • Work from home with occasional travel (up to 10% of work time) for team meetings, events, and conferences.

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • A strong passion for technology and collaboration with talented individuals.
  • Curiosity, flexibility, and accountability, along with excellent soft skills.
  • A desire to learn about various technologies including Ubuntu Linux, Kubernetes, OpenStack, Ceph, and distributed systems.

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation based on geography, experience, and performance with annual reviews.
  • Performance-driven bonuses and recognition rewards.
  • A personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 annually.
  • Flexible work environment with twice-yearly team retreats, maternity and paternity leave, and wellness programs.
  • Opportunities for travel to meet colleagues and experience new locations.
