We are seeking a UX Designer for Infrastructure and Developer Experience to collaborate with our exceptional engineering teams. This role will significantly enhance developer experience on a global scale. The design team is dedicated to transforming complex open-source software into efficient and intuitive products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build tools that facilitate personalized cloud experiences (MAAS, LXD, MicroCloud, and Canonical k8s).
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to enhance developer experience.
- Support complex products using design and UX heuristics.
- Evolve and champion design systems that promote consistency and efficiency.
- Comprehend the broader scope of work and its interconnected constraints.
- Participate in working groups to support Canonical design's horizontal efforts.
What We Are Looking For:
- Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in User Experience, Design, or STEM, or a compelling alternative narrative.
- Strong interest and passion for user experience, technology, and design.
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Result-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering quality work.
- Confidence in user research practices.
- Familiarity with the latest design research and innovation.
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year for up to two weeks for company events.
