Web Frontend Engineer - JS, CSS, React, Flutter

Canonical is seeking a skilled Web/UI Engineer to develop a data-rich and reliable user experience utilizing JS, CSS, React, and Flutter, as part of our leading open-source software platform, Ubuntu. In this remote position, you will construct frontends for Canonical’s enterprise products and help build an open-source React toolkit known as the Vanilla Framework for consistency across our offerings, while also incorporating Flutter for unified desktop and web development.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing well-tested and documented software in web technologies or Flutter.
• Debugging and resolving user issues.
• Participating in engineering processes through coding and architectural reviews.
• Collaborating on technical specifications and contributing to technical documentation.
• Seeking improvements in engineering and operational practices.

Work Conditions:

• This is a remote, full-time position.
• Ability to travel twice a year for company events lasting up to two weeks.
