Data Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable and efficient data architectures to fulfill organizational data needs.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to gather data requirements.
• Develop and maintain data models tailored to the organization's data storage and retrieval requirements.
• Integrate data from diverse sources, including databases and APIs, to create a unified data view.
• Design, build, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data pipelines.
• Administer and optimize databases for performance and scalability.
• Implement data quality standards and ensure compliance with data governance policies.
• Monitor and resolve data quality issues to uphold data integrity.
• Utilize big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark for handling large datasets.
• Enforce data security measures to protect sensitive information.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes and models.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, data science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with ETL tools (Apache NiFi, Talend, Informatica).
• Familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks (Hadoop, Spark).
• Knowledge of data modeling techniques and tools.
• Proficient in scripting languages for automation and data manipulation (SQL, Python).
• Willingness to stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in data engineering.
