Location: Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Work Conditions: Full-time, 4 days a week in office & 1 day from home; remote work allowed from any country in the world for 30 days a year; unlimited vacation days. For individual contributor roles in tech, 2 office days a week and 3 days to work from home.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and operate large-scale infrastructure, including container platforms and release pipelines.
- Implement and enhance infrastructure and observability to improve service reliability.
- Create automation and tooling for streamlined infrastructure operations and developer workflows.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure compliance with availability, security, and observability standards.
- Write and review high-quality, performant, and reliable code.
- Mentor team members through code reviews and design discussions while promoting continuous improvement.
- Improve team processes through agile practices and engineering excellence.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of professional software development experience, including 3 years in systems or platform engineering roles.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Golang or Python (mandatory).
- Solid understanding of software engineering best practices (coding standards, code reviews, source control management, etc.).
- Proven experience in designing and operating distributed systems in cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of production operations, metrics, safe deployments, and incident response.
- Experience with Linux-based systems and container orchestration at scale.
- Strong communication skills and experience with cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience with Golang and AWS.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
