About the Job
Core42 is seeking an IT Manager for Financial Planning to manage and administer the company’s IT financials, chargebacks, contracts, licenses, vendor management, agreements, subscriptions, and SLAs. The successful candidate will monitor and track IT OPEX and CAPEX spending to ensure adherence to budget while identifying opportunities for optimization. Core42 operates as a national-scale enabler for cloud and generative AI in the UAE, leveraging G42 Group’s expertise to transform public sector and enterprise operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and monitor the IT budget, including operating budgets and CAPEX projects, along with long-term financial forecasts.
- Prepare IT budgets and forecasts, tracking spends for all IT initiatives.
- Manage IT procurement processes in coordination with Accounting and Procurement.
- Initiate, track, execute, and monitor IT contracts in conjunction with Procurement and Legal.
- Design, develop, direct, and execute processes to plan, record, analyze, and report on the financial conditions of IT financials, contracts, licenses, and vendor management.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce IT costs, increase revenue generation, and improve service offerings.
- Build strategic relationships with vendors, identifying opportunities for partnership or expansion in line with commercial, technical, and timing requirements.
- Provide analysis and financial leadership to support decision-making on new services, pricing/cost allocation, partnership agreements, and business development activities.
- Manage day-to-day IT spending activities in alignment with corporate goals and risk management constraints.
- Report on service utilization while maintaining contracts and service management logs.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts in IT Vendor Relationship Management processes to maximize economic benefits and provide recommendations for improvement initiatives.
- Ensure SLAs are consistently met for vendor contracts and manage payment milestones accordingly.
- Support IT vendor selection, negotiations, and operations strategy, liaising with internal stakeholders for supplier selection and management.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure successful realization of IT agreements and renew contracts on a timely basis for cost reduction opportunities.
- Monitor, control, and align all IT-related investments with IT strategy and budget.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong IT knowledge and financial reporting expertise.
- 10-12 years of experience in Finance, Economics, or IT management, with an emphasis on vendor and contracts management.
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office, particularly spreadsheets.
- Strong organizational, time management, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-task environment and as a collaborative team player.
- Good understanding of project management methodologies and strong written and spoken English.
