About
Working closely with the corporate’s commercial and technical teams, this role focuses on major bidding opportunities from clients. You will be responsible for managing supply chain upstream relationships to secure the most advantageous techno-commercial solutions through competitive tendering, effective negotiations, partner relationship management, and cost avoidance strategies. The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience in the procurement of key products and services supporting AI growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement support functions, ensuring high quality in terms of effectiveness, efficiency, and best value.
- Develop, promote, and embed procurement and supply chain management tools and techniques across the group.
- Apply a proactive, creative, and challenging approach to manage organizational expenditure on goods and services.
- Ensure transparency of spending within the allocated supply portfolio.
- Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies.
- Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments.
- Analyze and calculate costs of procurement, suggesting methods to decrease expenditure.
- Negotiate contracts and improve prices and terms of business with suppliers.
- Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers.
- Discover and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers.
- Comply with the Group Procurement Policy and report to the Procurement Manager.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT engineering, computer science, or a relevant field
- CIPS Accreditation
Minimum Experience:
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in the procurement or supply field in the IT industry
Job-Specific Skills:
- Full awareness of procurement best practices and approaches
- Strategic thinking to drive cost-optimization initiatives
- Knowledge of the latest IT technologies in the market
- Familiarity with the local and regional IT market and IT service providers
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage difficult situations
