About the job
The Technical Project Manager will oversee the Network and Security workstream within a large and complex Technology program at Core42. This role is essential for ensuring the seamless delivery of network and security projects, reporting directly to the Program Director and the PMO. The Technical Project Manager will require a deep understanding of network and security technologies, superb project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans encompassing scope, schedule, resources, and risk management for Network and Security projects. Lead project execution, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgetary constraints, and quality standards while monitoring and adjusting progress as necessary.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including IT, security, business units, and third-party vendors. Facilitate regular meetings to provide updates and resolve issues, ensuring clear communication and alignment among all participants.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans. Proactively resolve conflicts and escalate issues as required.
  • Resource Management: Allocate resources efficiently across the network and security workstreams, ensuring team members have the necessary tools and support to thrive, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk registers. Prepare and present regular progress reports to the Program Director and PMO, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide guidance on network and security technologies while staying updated on industry trends and advancements. Implement best practices and standards within the workstreams.
  • PMO Collaboration: Align project goals with the overall program strategy and objectives defined by the PMO, implementing PMO standards and methodologies to ensure consistency and quality. Provide insights to enhance project management processes.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years of project management experience in the technology sector, particularly in network and security projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, security protocols, and compliance regulations.
  • Experience within a PMO structure is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project or JIRA.
  • Knowledge of different project management methodologies and the ability to deliver results under pressure.
  • Capability to manage third-party resources and collaborate with large systems integrators and IT consulting teams.
  • Strong team-building skills, enabling effective engagement with distributed teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in presenting at senior management levels.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred; relevant network and security certifications are a plus.
