Test Engineer

Dautom is seeking a Manual Tester to join our team. The primary responsibilities include:

• Test Planning and Documentation:

  • Create and review detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Document test results and report issues found during testing.
  • Ensure thorough test coverage of all functionalities in the software.

• Test Execution:

  • Perform manual testing on various software applications, including web and mobile platforms.
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, system, user acceptance (UAT), and exploratory testing.
  • Perform tests on different environments and configurations to verify application compatibility.

• Defect Identification and Reporting:

  • Identify and report bugs, defects, and issues using a bug tracking system (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
  • Verify that issues are resolved by the development team and validate the fixes.

• Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and other team members to understand product requirements and provide feedback.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint meetings.

• Test Environment Setup:

  • Set up and maintain test environments.
  • Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure application consistency.

• Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure the application meets business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Conduct testing on user interfaces, security, performance, and usability.

• Continuous Improvement:

  • Provide feedback to improve the testing process.
  • Assist in refining testing methods and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Experience:

  • 1–3 years of experience in manual software testing.
  • Experience with various types of testing (e.g., functional, regression, UAT).

• Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for database testing.
  • Experience with test case management tools.
