Responsibilities
As a Consultant/Senior Consultant in Project Management, you will demonstrate and develop your capabilities in the following areas:
- Project Oversight: Monitor and support the delivery of multiple IT projects, ensuring execution aligns with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Governance & Compliance: Implement project governance frameworks to ensure consistency and compliance across all projects.
- Project Performance Tracking: Track and report on the performance of IT projects, identifying and escalating risks as needed.
- Stakeholder Management: Mentor and coach junior developers while providing technical guidance to the development team.
- Resource Management: Assist in resource planning and allocation to ensure project teams are effectively staffed.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation and provide updates to senior management on project progress.
- Change Management: Oversee change management processes, ensuring proper documentation and approval of changes.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential delivery risks and work with the team to implement mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-8 years of experience in IT project management or PMO roles with a focus on project delivery.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of IT project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
- Proficiency in project management tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, or Trello.
- Familiarity with IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL).
- Ability to lead and influence project teams, fostering a results-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects effectively.
- Project management certifications such as PMP, ACP, PRINCE2, or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) are desirable.
- Background in IT delivery and a strong understanding of technical aspects of IT projects, including software development and cloud technologies.
