About the Job

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be involved in exciting projects that cover the end-to-end Data Science lifecycle—from raw data cleaning and exploration with primary and third-party systems to advanced data visualization and Machine Learning development. You will work in a modern cloud-based data warehousing environment, collaborating with a diverse and talented team. Your role will involve interfacing with various departments such as product & tech, trust & safety, finance, and more to ensure successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on regression and classification problems involving tabular, textual, and image data.
- Address forecasting, anomaly detection, and time-series analysis.
- Build recommendation engines and develop GPT-based applications for various business needs.
- Query large datasets in AWS Redshift to extract essential data for ML models.
- Conduct data exploration to identify patterns and assess data quality.
- Utilize Python for data analysis and building statistical models to solve specific business challenges.
- Evaluate ML models and fine-tune parameters based on underlying business problems.
- Collaborate with senior peers to deploy ML models as standalone data services.
- Create customer-facing reporting tools to provide insights and performance metrics.
- Participate in an on-call stability rota for live ML models.
- Own at least one ML product that is in production.
Requirements
- Master's degree in AI, Statistics, Math, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 2+ years of experience in Machine Learning.
- Experience with AWS is a plus.
- Knowledge in statistical modeling and mathematics.
- Intermediate knowledge of Python's ML stack (e.g., Pandas, Matplotlib, Sklearn, TensorFlow).
- Understanding of machine learning algorithms (e.g., Linear Regression, Gradient Boosted Trees, Neural Networks).
- Basic SQL knowledge and familiarity with visualization tools (e.g., Periscope) for handling large datasets.
- Basic knowledge of statistical analysis and A/B testing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
- Attention to detail, business acumen, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Highly driven, self-motivated, with a strong curiosity for continuous learning.
