As a Senior Mobile Engineer - React Native, you will be an integral part of high-performing cross-functional "Squads," responsible for ensuring our services are healthy, monitored, automated, and designed to scale. Your role includes collaborating with engineers within your product stream, alongside the QA and design teams, to identify and resolve issues from the early designs through production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop elegant solutions for complex problems while writing and maintaining exemplary code in line with dubizzle's programming practices.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, performant, and highly available.
- Gain detailed understanding of the complete architecture of our product and your product stream’s position in it.
- Mentor other engineers, providing guidance on tasks of varying complexity.
- Manage the entire software development life cycle, from concept to deployment.
- Collaborate with product owners regarding the feasibility of upcoming changes and provide accurate work timelines.
- Advocate for best practices within the department to ensure timely delivery of features.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience with backend technologies.
- 6+ years of experience with JavaScript and client-side technologies.
- Proven experience in building production apps with React Native.
- Experience on high-traffic and large-scale web products.
- Familiarity with web infrastructure, distributed systems, performance analysis, and search infrastructure.
- Strong testing experience across multiple browsers, ensuring a consistent user experience.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; in-depth experience with one JavaScript framework (React, Ember, Angular, or Backbone).
- Understanding of database management technologies, preferably MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of the software development cycle, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
- Experience with AWS technologies and application deployment using containers (e.g., Docker) is a plus.
