Position

The Senior Software Engineer at Emirates NBD will practice software engineering and apply best practices and principles to deliver high-quality, maintainable, reusable, reliable, performant, and scalable software on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop scalable and highly-available Restful APIs using NodeJS technologies.
  • Work with GraphQL and CI/CD principles.
  • Troubleshoot issues in distributed services ecosystems.
  • Understand containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Engage with API gateway integrations like 3Scale.
  • Implement Single-Sign-on or token-based authentication (Rest, JWT, oAuth).
  • Manage task/message queues including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Pushpin, and Kafka.
  • Adhere to best coding, security, unit testing, and documentation standards.
  • Experience in Agile methodology and ensure quality in technical and application architecture across the organization.
  • Research and benchmark technologies against best-in-class technologies.
  • Collaborate effectively across teams and present ideas to senior and executive management.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree or post-graduate in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent industry experience).
  • Minimum 8 years of coding experience in NodeJS, JavaScript, and databases.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in TypeScript.
  • Experience with performance tuning, debugging, and monitoring.
  • Prior experience in Banking, Financial, or Fintech environments preferred.
