As a Principal Solutions Architect – Private Cloud Infrastructure, you will design, develop, and govern the solution architecture of the Group in alignment with corporate business and IT strategies. This role entails ensuring an appropriate balance between functional, service quality, systems management requirements, and business objectives. You will engage at the strategic enterprise level while holding full responsibility for the solution architectures implemented by individual projects and programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the definition and governance of new corporate and portfolio IT standards, guidelines, and practices
  • Scout the market for technology advancements and new business innovations
  • Lead the solution architecture development for new initiatives, vendor solution acquisitions, and enhancement of existing systems
  • Drive architecture decisions and be accountable for their implications
  • Provide expert advice and lead solution design reviews to projects on technical and architectural standards
  • Manage, direct, inspire, and coach the work and capability of Solutions Architect and Senior Engineering resources
  • Act as a product owner, proactively identifying and overseeing the development of technical enablers and quality improvements

Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for the role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Computer Engineering or Technology; a Master’s Degree is preferable
  • 8+ years of experience in Information Technology
  • Technical leadership experience leading a group of technical architects and senior developers
  • Comprehensive understanding of technologies such as Private Cloud, open-source frameworks, AI/ML, DevOps, and more
  • Knowledge in architecture styles such as microservices and cloud-native applications
  • Significant experience in Private Cloud Architecture and design
