Job Purpose

The role involves technical design, software development, implementation and maintenance of RPA solutions/products that support the Emirates Group.

Job Outline

  • Work with Principal Developer in the technical design process to analyse technical application requirements and project feasibility.
  • Convert technical solutions for small to medium initiatives into low level design and working code specific to RPA technologies.
  • Be part of the rotational on-call support and actively participate in resolving production issues within SLA's with minimal or no active supervision.
  • Accountable for built-in quality and unit testing as part of the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Analyse and fix all identified defects with minimal rework.
  • Anticipate, track and resolve potential issues and risks to the RPA solutions/products at all stages.
  • Ensure re-factoring practices are adequately adopted to ensure minimum code debt.
  • Ensure logging and monitoring hooks are implemented as part of the code development.
  • Continuously stay up to date in the relevant tools and technologies trends and implement the learnings to enhance the code design quality and implementation.
  • Adhere to the Emirates Group IT coding standards, guidelines and best practices and contribute to Software Engineering Playbooks and other Standards documents.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualifications: Information Technology or Other: 3+ Years of experience with Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent). Degree in relevant field such as Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
  • Knowledge/Skills:
    • Certification in automation anywhere or UI Path or similar RPA platform as a BOT Developer.
    • Experience in Software Engineering experience preferably in agile ways of working.
    • Experience with a range of technologies.
    • Developing software in an enterprise environment.
    • Experience in testing concepts such as unit testing, functional testing and test automation.
    • Resolving a variety of issues using technical expertise, system design tools as well as experience using technologies such experience in developing and implementing end-to-end automation solutions using a combination of Cognitive tools, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning Desirable and using Robotic Process Automation.
    • Designing applications/modules.
    • Strong agile Software Development Skills.
    • Strong Systems Analytical skills.
    • Skills on Business process engineering and business process management is desirable.
