The Senior Technical Engineer will design, develop, and deliver robust, high-quality IT data solutions that align with business needs and corporate standards. This role serves as a technical expert and consultant, providing guidance to Emirates Group IT (EGIT) teams and ensuring the successful delivery of assigned work packages. By bridging the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, you will drive innovation, foster high-performing technical teams, and support the adoption of new technologies.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical consultancy and guidance to EGIT within the technology area and act as a lead technical member in project teams.
- Develop IT solutions that meet customer requirements and conform to corporate standards and the technical strategy.
- Ensure that the architecture solution meets service level requirements in terms of availability, capacity, continuity, security, performance, and reliability.
- Foster the development of high-performing technical teams to meet strategic architectural objectives.
- Collaborate with IT Technology teams to implement ongoing monitoring of relevant technology.
- Manage assigned incidents and ensure solutions meet architectural and security standards.
- Manage End-of-life replacement of equipment/software within the technology area.
Requirements
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) with 5 years of relevant experience in areas such as:
- End User Hardware Security Tools and Windows 10, 11, Apple MacOS, iOS, Android OS, Microsoft Workplace, and Office 365.
- Various printing solutions including HP, Sharp, Data-south, barcode printers, cloud printing, vendor management, and print server administration.
- Application Packaging and deployment.
- Managing and planning Virtual Desktops using Azure, VDI, Windows365, and VMware.
- Knowledgeable in Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.
