We are looking for a Senior Manager or Director within the Data Science Consulting & Data Analytics Practice, focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions in the Energy/Oil & Gas sector. This role offers exciting opportunities to work with leading-edge data technologies and play a highly visible role across the data practice while partnering closely with clients to help drive local market growth.
The position supports a hybrid work environment, allowing you to work in the office, on client sites, and from home, depending on project alignments.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction in Data Science/AI/ML, driving the design, development, and implementation of solutions for clients in the Oil & Gas/Energy sector.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, develop data models, and apply appropriate ML algorithms to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Lead the identification of new AI/ML opportunities by leveraging technical expertise and engaging senior decision-makers.
- Shape data solutions, scope and price engagements, establish optimal operating models and project team organization, and oversee the transition from sales to delivery.
- Focus on practical AI application frameworks, including Data, MLOps, and LLMOps, and actively participate in the development of Generative AI, Responsible AI, and AI Security offerings.
- Foster and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction through effective delivery, communication, and timely issue resolution.
- Engage with client executives up to C-level to drive enterprise-wide agendas for maximizing growth.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional growth in Data Science/AI/ML.
- Stay updated with advancements in AI/ML and recommend new approaches to address challenges in related markets.
- Support pre-sales activities, including assessing data opportunities, responding to RFPs, and creating proposals and presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or extensive relevant work experience.
- Fluent English speaker; proficiency in Arabic is a strong advantage.
- Strong experience and knowledge of the Oil & Gas/Energy sector.
- Proven leadership experience in Data Science & Data Analytics Technology Consulting.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing AI/ML, Generative AI, and MLOps solutions.
- Technical proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, and familiarity with ML libraries/frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Solid understanding of ML algorithms, data pre-processing, feature selection, and model evaluation techniques.
- Demonstrated experience in engaging and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Confident in presenting recommendations and analysis at a board level.
- Ideally, have experience in pre-sales or supporting sales teams.
