Position

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and collaborative individual with hands-on experience in statistical analysis, machine learning, predictive analytics, and software engineering. Your role will involve consulting closely with customers to understand their needs, developing data science solutions, building high-quality analytics systems, and implementing best practices for geospatial machine learning.

Work Conditions: Hybrid, Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Consult closely with customers to understand their needs.
  • Develop and pitch data science solutions that map business problems to machine learning or other advanced analytics approaches.
  • Build high-quality analytics systems to address customer business problems using techniques from data mining, statistics, and machine learning.
  • Write clean, collaborative code to process big data and streaming data from various sources.
  • Perform feature engineering, model selection, and hyperparameter optimization for high predictive accuracy.
  • Deploy models to production in cloud, on-premises, or hybrid environments.
  • Stay current with technology trends in machine and deep learning.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with Python in data science and deep learning.
  • Experience building and optimizing supervised and unsupervised machine learning models.
  • Strong understanding of mathematical and machine learning concepts (e.g., calculus, back propagation, Random Forests).
  • Applied statistics knowledge and experience developing software collaboratively in Python using version control.
  • Ability to perform data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple sources.
  • Data visualization skills using tools such as Matplotlib.
  • Strong communication skills, especially with non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, physics, or a related field.

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Git, Pytorch, Tensorflow, CUDA/GPU programming.
  • DevOps/MLOps experience using Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Experience with big data tools like Apache Spark.
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Familiarity with reinforcement learning models and spatial/GIS concepts.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
