We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Platform Engineer with a strong background in building scalable data pipelines, integrating modern data technologies, and supporting advanced analytics use cases. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who is passionate about designing, developing, and optimizing robust data architectures that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with software engineers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists to support and enhance our data platforms. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient and reliable data flow across multiple systems and products, enabling high-quality data availability for analytical and operational purposes. Additionally, you will play a key role in monitoring, maintaining, and evolving our analytical infrastructure, ensuring that systems run smoothly and efficiently in production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate business needs and objectives.
- Identify opportunities for data acquisition and analyze raw data.
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
- Interpret trends and patterns, and build algorithms and prototypes.
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional business requirements.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements.
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources using SQL and big data technologies.
- Build analytics tools that provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.
Education & Experience:
- 4-6 years of experience in a Data Engineer role.
- Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
- Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Experience with Azure Databricks, Data Factory, SQL is mandatory.
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases, including query authoring.
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to address business questions and identify improvement opportunities.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
- Basic understanding of UNIX batch/shell scripting, Database SQL, and processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
