Are you a people manager and data professional passionate about growing and empowering a team of analysts to enhance data-driven decision-making across the business? Kape, a leading SaaS and cybersecurity company, is seeking a Data Analytics Lead (Revenue & Retention). In this role, you will have the opportunity to make an impact by solving business problems and influencing decisions on products used by millions of customers daily. You will develop a team of data analysts who can independently and confidently deliver clear business value through high-quality advice, experimentation, analytics, and dashboards. This position will be a hybrid manager-individual contributor (IC) role.

What You’ll Be Doing (Role Responsibilities)
As a Data Analytics Lead, your managerial responsibilities will include:

  • Managing, hiring, leading, and growing a group of 2-3 data analysts.
  • Identifying skill and knowledge gaps within your team and addressing them through training, coaching, mentoring, and shadowing.
  • Acting as a strategic partner in the Revenue and Retention domain to enhance data-driven decision making and prioritize data-analytics initiatives that deliver significant business value.
  • Creating standards and consistency in processes, guidance, tools, quality, and outputs through collaboration with other data-analytics leads.
  • Partnering with Data Engineering to improve the quality, consistency, reliability, and documentation of data pipelines, tools, and processes.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with other Data Analytics domains to identify synergies and support one another as needed.
  • Contributing to the planning and execution of Revenue analytics growth within the organization, supporting cross-functional teams and enabling others to self-serve their data and analytics needs.

As this role will be hybrid (manager-IC), your IC responsibilities will include:

  • Leading complex projects to turn data into insights, predictions, and actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Delivering impactful insights and recommendations through user-friendly dashboard designs and compelling visualizations.
  • Designing and analyzing A/B experiments based on key metrics defined with the business.
  • Collaborating with Data Engineers and Analytics Engineers to define requirements for foundational datasets supporting downstream analytics and reporting.
  • Acting as the interface between marketing business teams and the data engineering & insights teams.
  • Understanding user journeys on our platform to provide recommendations to resolve friction points.

What You’ll Need to Succeed (Role Requirements)
Candidates should have most or some of the following skills and experience:

  • Experience leading a team of at least two persons, overseeing performance reviews, mentoring, and career plans.
  • A strong track record in delivering business value through a combination of big-picture vision, solid business acumen, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to develop effective relationships and influence key stakeholders and data engineering partners.
  • Proven experience with data analysis that builds a narrative leading to actionable recommendations.
  • Extensive experience in designing, executing, and evaluating A/B experiments.
  • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with various analysis tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Databricks, and DBT.
  • Experience with web analytics tools including Mixpanel, Google Analytics 4, SimilarWeb, SensorTower, and good understanding of the Google Ads ecosystem.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills for driving prioritization discussions and being a thought partner for business decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage at all levels within the company.
