About the Job:
The Specialist - IT Business is responsible for managing tier 2 and 3 support for flydubai’s operations departments, ensuring that IT solutions are effective and provide seamless business continuity.
Main Objective of Role:
To manage tier 2 and 3 support for flydubai’s operations departments, ensuring that IT solutions are effective and provide seamless business continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and deliver on key initiatives from the business plan and technology strategy, leveraging re-use, eliminating duplicate components, architectural design, and using innovative products.
- Build and support teams for Engineering departments, conduct pre-project studies, and actively participate in the lifecycle of projects using agreed templates and processes.
- Manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for the Engineering department's IT systems and propose corrective actions on major deviations.
- Collaborate closely with designated business units to establish Maintenance Windows to ensure minimal disruptions to business operations.
- Oversee emergency fixes to address critical issues and obtain timely approvals from respective departments for any outages required.
- Identify and analyze reporting and data warehouse requirements of designated business areas promptly, acting as the single point of contact for data-related queries and liaising with IT sections to roll out effective solutions.
- Identify areas for improvement and provide input to the BI Specialist for additional training needs for the designated departments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (3+ years) in Information Technology; a Master's level degree in Business/Finance/Management is preferred.
- Fluent in English.
- 6 - 8 years of relevant experience.

ISR Requirements:
- Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the company, reporting any weaknesses or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team.
- Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in day-to-day business operations.
