Senior Engineer - Quality Assurance

About the Job
The Senior Engineer - Quality Assurance plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of software releases. This includes creating, implementing, and conducting extensive test plans and cases, identifying and documenting bugs, and collaborating with the development teams to address issues. Additionally, this position is expected to provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members, contributing to the improvement of QA standards and strategies, and participating in product design to prioritize quality from the outset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of comprehensive test plans for software projects, considering both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
• Conduct thorough manual testing to identify software defects and ensure the delivery of high-quality, bug-free products.
• Plan and execute performance and load testing to assess system reliability, scalability, and responsiveness.
• Drive and enforce quality assurance processes, standards, and methodologies across the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify, track, and manage software defects through resolution.
• Generate detailed test reports and provide feedback to the development team on the quality of software products.
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and testing-related artifacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in QA engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and testing automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, PyTest).
• Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
• Experience with Terraform is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
