As a Trainee Software Application Specialist for Reports, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of customized reports for our software suite. You will work in a dynamic and motivated international team, contributing to the software development process and helping to shape the future of payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fulfill customer business needs through highly customized reports.
- Elaborate on stakeholder requirements and provide suitable solutions based on the software landscape architecture.
- Design, implement, test, and integrate assigned reports with components developed by team members.
- Assist the sales and project teams with effort estimates for new reports and enhancements.
- Actively resolve problems during various development phases.
- Create proof of concepts (PoCs) to validate design assumptions.
- Contribute to software development process improvement initiatives.
- Present solution designs and engage with internal and external stakeholders during customer workshops.
- Regularly report development progress to management.
- Create technical documentation for project management, customers, and suppliers.
- Conduct customer training sessions both in person and virtually.
Job Requirements:
- Technical university degree or comparable training in Computer Science.
- Several years of experience in developing reports using SAP Business Intelligence (BI) for Analytics (SAP BO).
- Proficiency in RDBMS technologies (Oracle, MS SQL) and strong understanding of DB queries, views, and scripting.
- Strong skills in object-oriented analysis, design, and development, with good troubleshooting abilities in multi-tier applications.
- Certification in Web Intelligence for Business Intelligence (BI) for Analytics is preferred.
- Experience in SAP BO Administration and familiarity with Report Development Tools (required).
- Knowledge of BIRT (nice to have) and version control tools (TFS DevOps).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to high-quality software delivery.
- Ability to work as a team player while also working independently towards shared goals.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the organization, along with an international travel commitment.
