About the Job
GSK is seeking a Data Quality Lead who is energized by the challenge of contributing to one of the leading pharmaceutical companies worldwide. In this pivotal role, you will be part of the GSK data governance council, which is responsible for making critical data-related decisions. Your primary goal will be to ensure reliable data is accessible to all staff, maintaining its continuous usability and reliability. You will focus on leveraging data effectively while establishing and enforcing robust rules for data handling, as well as implementing procedures to safeguard data integrity and privacy.
As a Data Quality Lead, you will drive data governance processes and standards by providing project leadership. This includes planning, directing, and executing operations utilizing agreed-upon governance management methodologies to ensure that governance principles and objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and enhance data quality standards, frameworks, templates, and processes.
  • Lead the implementations of data quality processes and standards at both regional and market levels, fostering a culture of data quality awareness and accountability.
  • Conduct regular reviews and monitoring of data quality key metrics and targets to ensure adherence to established standards.
  • Provide hands-on guidance and support to market data stewards and stakeholders in adopting effective data quality best practices.
  • Offer training sessions and mentoring to enhance data quality in local markets.
  • Ensure quality assurance of work delivered by regional and market governance teams.
  • Monitor data quality health reports across regions and markets, proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing preventive measures.
  • Oversee and monitor the implementation of data quality remediation plans.
  • Participate in regional data governance council meetings to address unresolved data quality issues and provide updates on the roadmap.

Job Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with the following required skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Management Information Systems).
  • 5+ years of experience in data quality operation management.
  • Knowledge of data governance and governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Unity Catalog, Ataccama).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as SQL, Python, R, or Spark.
  • Knowledge of technology architecture.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills to drive change across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive experience in project management, including the delivery of complex IT projects and services.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Azure environments and with tools like Databricks and ADF.
  • A proven track record of delivering data-driven solutions with a customer-first mindset.
  • Experience in managing the end-to-end operation of new processes.
  • Capability to establish appropriate governance and leverage stakeholder involvement effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal, networking, and teamwork skills, along with excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
