The Principal Electronic Warfare Engineer is a key role focusing on Electronic Warfare hardware and software development. This position requires a deep understanding and experience in product development, particularly in real-time signal processing, radar systems, and embedded software. The role involves significant responsibilities including design, evaluation, testing, and reporting.

Job Summary
The Principal Electronic Warfare Engineer will:

  • Review product concept designs to ensure a high probability of mission success.
  • Assess developmental product functional specifications to verify performance criteria.
  • Identify and manage the development of algorithms necessary to implement electronic warfare solutions.
  • Develop structures for EW systems that integrate both hardware and software components.
  • Design secure embedded systems, incorporating cybersecurity protocols such as encryption and anti-tamper technologies while complying with defense system standards.
  • Implement and develop digital firmware and FPGA programming for real-time systems focused on signal processing.
  • Develop algorithms for signal detection, identification, and jamming, utilizing techniques like adaptive filtering and electronic attack strategies.
  • Supervise testing of algorithms in simulation environments to refine system designs.
  • Innovate strategies and technologies to safeguard friendly assets from electronic attacks.
  • Mentor junior engineers in electronic warfare techniques and technologies.
  • Advise management on advancements in electronic warfare systems and related technologies.

Experience & Education Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Electronics & Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the development of electronic warfare and cybersecurity systems.
