Position

Help AG, an e& enterprise company, is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Associate Cybersecurity Defense Analyst to join our Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC) team as part of our client’s Managed Security Services (MSS) business unit. This role is ideal for individuals with solid knowledge, passion, and interest in Cybersecurity. The Associate Cybersecurity Defense Analyst will be responsible for monitoring multiple client environments to detect and identify Cybersecurity threats and incidents using various SOC technologies and tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, escalate, and assist in the remediation of critical information security incidents by following detailed operational processes and procedures.
  • Handle tickets and large queues, efficiently prioritizing based on the criticality of alerts.
  • Use tools such as Splunk, Log Rhythm, and QRadar to correlate and analyze events to detect IT security incidents.
  • Monitor logs from multiple security technologies including SIEM, IDS/IPS, Firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Respond to technical assistance requests via phone and electronic means in a timely manner (within documented SLA).
  • Maintain awareness of the current threat landscape and participate in knowledge sharing with other analysts.
  • Write technical articles for internal knowledge bases and provide periodic reports to management.
  • Work in rotating shifts within a 24/7 operating environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in information security, focusing on security operations, incident handling, log analysis, or endpoint/firewall administration.
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices, common attack types, and detection/prevention methods.
  • Experience using SIEM tools such as Splunk, Log Rhythm, and QRadar.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP and network concepts.
  • Familiarity with the Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK framework.
  • Professional certificates (e.g., CCNA, CEH, Security+, CySA+) are preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to speak and write in English is required; Arabic is preferred.
