The Vice President, Infrastructure Finance, MENAT CMB will play a crucial role in supporting end-to-end infrastructure finance by originating, structuring, and executing transactions. This role focuses on Corporate banking customers and transactions and will report to Corporate Banking management. Key Responsibilities for the Role

  • Originate, structure, underwrite and execute Middle East Infrastructure and energy transactions and customers including power, utilities and renewable energy and energy transition, transport, and digital financing transactions including greenfield and brownfield, infrastructure and project finance and corporate structure, export finance for HSBC Commercial Bank.
  • Assess project level due diligence including relevant technical, environmental, legal and market studies.
  • Review and negotiate financing legal documents with internal & external counsels, export credit agencies and clients.
  • Lead credit assessment on transactions and oversee HSBC internal credit approval processes.
  • Demonstrate quality strategic thinking, providing deal origination support in conjunction with senior bankers.
  • Work on strategic initiatives to enable the growth of the business.
  • Collaborate effectively across multi-functional teams to deliver HSBC universal banking product range to clients and contribute to the overall growth and success of the team.
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on industry trends and developments.
  • Represent HSBC at industry events and conferences, promoting the bank's sustainable finance capabilities and expertise.
  • Ensure adherence to HSBC's policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Over 6 years of experience in infrastructure finance, or a closely related field.

  • Proven track record of originating, structuring, and executing complex transactions in the infrastructure and energy sectors.

  • Understanding of sustainable finance principles, green loans, social loans and sustainability-linked loans.

  • Excellent client relationship management skills, with the ability to understand clients' needs and provide tailored solutions.

  • In-depth knowledge of the MENAT market, including key players, trends, and regulatory landscape.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders and clients.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • A team player with strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field; a master's degree or professional qualification (e.g., CFA, MBA) is preferred.

  • Graduation degree is a must – to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit.
