Application Architect

As an Application Architect, you will be responsible for designing cutting-edge software frameworks, systems, and products that set the industry standard. You will leverage your extensive technical knowledge to conceive system interfaces and business application prototypes. Your role includes identifying and resolving any weaknesses in framework design while providing technical leadership to the application development team. You will perform design and code reviews to maintain uniform enterprise-wide application design standards and collaborate with stakeholders to align architecture with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the application architecture stream as part of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) function.
• Collaborate closely with client stakeholders and application teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
• Establish standard Application Architecture content and govern all IT projects within the organization.

Required Technical and Professional Experience:

• 8-10+ years in application architecture, software design, and development.
• Expertise in Agile, DevOps, and other software development frameworks and methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of API design and microservices architecture.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Application Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

• The Open Group - Master Certified Architect (or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience in a Mainframe environment with knowledge of z/OS and IBM Software Products.
