As the Head of Engineering at LocAI, you will lead our engineering teams, oversee the development and deployment of our AI solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve our ambitious goals.
What You Will Do
- Lead and manage LocAI's engineering teams, providing strategic direction, mentorship, and support to drive high performance and innovation.
- Develop and execute the engineering strategy, aligning with the company's goals and vision for delivering cutting-edge AI solutions.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of engineering projects, from design and development to deployment and maintenance.
- Collaborate with product, AI/ML, and business teams to ensure seamless integration of AI-driven solutions and meet customer requirements.
- Stay at the forefront of engineering best practices and emerging technologies, incorporating them into our development processes.
- Drive innovation by exploring new approaches to system architecture, software development, and infrastructure management.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and excellence within the engineering teams.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our AI solutions, maintaining high standards of quality and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles, with a proven track record of managing successful projects and teams.
- Expertise in software architecture, system design, and agile development methodologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go, and experience with cloud-native technologies and platforms.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and experience integrating AI-powered components into complex systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
