Position

The Murex Front Office Consultant will be responsible for product implementation and will be a key member of the GM IT Front Office Squad, providing IT services to the Global Markets team. This role involves support, change requests, and projects related to Global Markets.

Location: Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates
Work Conditions: On-site, Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and document user requirements, transforming them into functional specifications.
  • Act as a key liaison with Global Markets teams and IT teams, as well as vendors.
  • Participate in discussions with the business to understand their needs and initiate change or project initiatives.
  • Define system and data requirements, validating design and processes from both functional and technical perspectives.
  • Develop and refine business, functional, and testing requirements in support of projects and systems.
  • Configure solutions based on requirements.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Murex tools used in the Front Office.
  • Create test plans, test cases, and execute system testing.
  • Contribute to user training through discussions and preparation of guides and presentations.
  • Follow up with vendor support to resolve bugs or issues.
  • Ensure technical and functional handovers of projects and changes to relevant teams.
  • Assist in developing business and operational processes and system training artifacts.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Postgraduate degree or qualification in Information Systems, Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience in a Bank or IT Company.
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • In-depth understanding of financial markets, trading, and banking solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Global Markets products and practices, including pricing, limit checks, risk management, and settlements.
  • Technical aptitude with relevant exposure to bank systems and processes.
  • Proven ability to liaise with stakeholders for business requirements and testing processes.
  • Strong numerical skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Murex Front Office.
  • Expertise in at least two asset classes (e.g., IR vanilla and exotic derivatives, Equity Derivatives, Commodity Derivatives, FX Derivatives, Structured Derivatives).
  • Experience in leading and delivering projects and implementing/supporting Murex v3.1 for front office capabilities.
  • Familiarity with both linear and non-linear product implementations in Murex.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Significant exposure to Murex FO Modules such as E-Tradepad, Livebook, Market Data, and more.
  • Excellent knowledge of Capital Markets products and processes from front to back.
