About the Job
The Manager – Data Architecture will be responsible for leading efforts in data processing, data warehousing, and big data technologies. The role involves effectively analyzing and interpreting large datasets to drive strategic business decisions. Strong skills in data management are required to collaborate with various departments and ensure data integrity and security.
Key Accountabilities:
- Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data.
- Develop and maintain database design and architecture documentation for management and executive teams.
- Define and enforce data architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Develop and implement data strategy in alignment with business goals.
- Identify internal and external data sources and manage end-to-end data architecture.
- Define and manage the flow of data and dissemination of information within the organization.
- Lead the integration of technical systems, ensuring data accessibility, accuracy, and security.
Relationships:
- Establish effective communication channels and foster collaboration with colleagues, senior management, and various departments to ensure alignment on data architecture initiatives.
- Work closely with ICT, Cybersecurity, and other teams to ensure adherence to data governance regulations and standards.
- Organize and lead regular meetings with stakeholders and team members to discuss the status of data architecture projects, review progress, and address any action items.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve data management objectives and ensure compliance.
- Continuously evaluate the organization’s progress in data architecture through interactions with leadership, providing updates and insights.
- Exhibit strong leadership qualities, guiding and mentoring the data architecture team.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or in a similar role.
- In-depth understanding of database structure principles.
- Experience with data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, Enterprise Architect).
- Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
